How to work with packages?
Packages allow sharing of web documents between people, computers and
projects. See
Understanding packages for background
information on Ad Annihilator packages.
There are two complementary tasks involved in working with packages: export
an import. The general scenario is as follows:
-
Export a package to disk;
-
Transfer it to another computer (if it is needed so);
-
Import a package in an Ad Annihilator project.
Package export
- First, decide which documents you would like to export. It could be a
single document, multiple documents or all documents from certain sites. Then,
go to Documents tab and select documents and sites you want
to include into the package. To select multiple documents and sites use Ctrl
or Shift keys while selecting them (see Documents tab).
Alternatively, you may select documents on Search results or
Resource list tabs.
- Right-click your selection and select "Export to disk" from the context
menu.
- Enter package name and its location on prompt.
- "Export to disk" window opens showing export progress. To cancel export
process click Cancel button.
Upon this operation a package file with .aak extension by default appears in
the location you selected. Now you may transfer this file to another computer,
put it in your archive or hand it over to another people.
Package import
Package importing is much easier than exporting. There are two ways to import
a package:
-
Double click a package file in Windows Explorer;
OR
-
Right-click any item in Documents tab,
choose "Import from disk" from the context menu and select a package
file from the disk.
In both cases "Import from disk" window opens showing
import progress. To cancel import process click Cancel button.
