After I installed Ad Annihilator, I see that on some web pages some pictures are disabled (X sign is shown instead of them). Besides, I see messages like "Rejected by *banner*" scattered throughout the pages. What happened to these web pages?
This is how Ad Annihilator banner blocker works! The pictures that are not
shown (marked with red X sign) are suspected to be banners and hence blocked by
Ad Annihilator. The messages like "Rejected by *banner*" can also be shown
instead of blocked banners. They inform the user that the banner was blocked and
which banner filter blocked it.
If you do not want to see this message, do the following:
Note that you may clear this option only if you already
registered your copy of
Ad Annihilator.
If you believe that a single picture was blocked by Ad Annihilator in error, you may easily unblock it using the following simple
technique:
-
Right-click the place where the banner was with the mouse and select "Unblock this banner" from
the context menu
OR
-
Point to the place where the banner was with the mouse and press Ctrl-Alt-U on the keyboard.
