When Ad Annihilator is active, the pictures on web pages can only be saved from the context menu only as bitmaps, regardless of what their existing format on the web server is. Is there any workaround?
Ad Annihilator downloads all images in the format given by web servers, e.g.
JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, etc. It does not interfere in any way how Internet Explorer
works in this aspect. However, when Ad Annihilator works in advanced mode and
uses not Internet Explorer but its own cache, Internet Explorer can only save
the pictures as bitmap (BMP) though it downloads them in native format.
If you need to save a picture in its native format it was
downloaded in, there are two ways to do this:
-
If you do not need Ad Annihilator offline browsing
capabilities, simply switch Ad Annihilator to simple mode. Click here to learn how to do it.
-
Otherwise, you may save the picture in its native format in
this way:
-
Right-click the picture and select “Find this resource in
resource list” from the
context menu. The
Resources tab
should be opened afterwards with the picture resource selected in the list
-
Right-click the selected resource and choose “Save
resource to disk”.
