Ad Annihilator options in browser context menu
Ad Annihilator enhances standard Internet Explorer browser context menu and
adds its options there to facilitate working with Ad Annihilator and provide
comfortable banner blocking methods.
To open Internet Explorer browser context menu right-click anywhere on the
web page. Options from this menu provided by Ad Annihilator are shown below:
The context menu that you see on your computer may differ depending on your browser and other programs installed on your computer. Pay attention to the
options in square brackets - these are Ad Annihilator options and they remain
the same in all cases.
There are following Ad Annihilator options in browser context menu:
-
[Add to organizer] - adds the selected link to the current
organizer folder or to the root organizer folder if Organizer tab of
Documents, Organizer and Search window was not opened in
this browser window. See
Understanding document organizing for background information on document
organizing;
-
[Block this banner] - when the mouse hovers over a banner,
choose this option to block it for now and future browsing as well. You may
also press Shift button while clicking this option to see
Resource Block window first. Using this dialog you may fine-tune the banner
blocking but this step is optional. See How to
block banners? to learn about other ways to block banners;
-
[Block this popup] - choose this option to block the current
window in which the context menu opened for future browsing. This
window is closed immediately. You may also press Shift button while clicking
this option to see Popup Block window first. Using this dialog you may fine-tune the popup
blocking but this step is optional. See How to
block popups? to learn about other ways to block popups;
-
[Find blocking filter] - when the mouse hovers over a
blocked banner, choose this option to locate the filter that blocked it in
Banner filters tab. This command allows you
to diagnose filter processing and find errors in your filter structure. See
Understanding banner filters to
learn about banner filters;
-
[Find this resource in resource list] - when the mouse
hovers over a banner, choose this option to locate it in
Resources tab of Progress and
Statistics window
which allows performing of advanced operations with this
banner;
-
[Locate target document] - locates the document
corresponding to the selected link in the Documents
tab which allows performing of advanced operations with this document;
-
[Resume resource loading] - resumes downloading of all
current document resources that were broken or
aborted earlier. This command
is useful when you want to complete downloading of the page that was broken
because of poor Internet connection or you have broken it explicitly having
clicked Stop button in the browser or
aborted downloading of specific resources. When executing this command, Ad
Annihilator finds all aborted resources and tries to resume their downloading;
-
[Show/hide menu and toolbars] - shows or hides Internet
Explorer menus and toolbars. This command is useful to apply in some popup
windows that are opened without Internet Explorer menus and toolbars. This is
often the case for advertisement popup windows. With this command you are able
to access Internet Explorer menus and toolbars even in such popups. Some
popups, however, prohibit even browser context menus. To overcome this and
still open Internet Explorer menus and toolbars use similar command in
browser system menu;
-
[Unblock this banner] - when the mouse hovers over a blocked
banner, choose this option to unblock it for now and future browsing as well.
You may also press Shift button while clicking this option to see
Resource Unblock window first. Using this dialog you may fine-tune the banner
unblocking but this step is optional. See
How to unblock banners? to learn about other ways to unblock banners;
-
[Unblock this popup] - choose this option to unblock the
current window in which the context menu opened for future browsing. You may also press Shift button
while clicking this option to see Popup Unblock window first. Using this dialog you may fine-tune the popup
unblocking but this step is optional. See How
to unblock popups? to learn about other ways to unblock popups
;
-
[Open all links] (available only if text in the browser
window is selected) - opens Open links window from which you
can open all links contained in the text you selected in new browser windows.
This command makes it possible to open multiple links in a single operation.
Use it when you find several contiguous links on a web page and want to open
and see them all at once.
