Ad Annihilator Project Wizard
Ad Annihilator Project Wizard is launched each time you create a new
Ad Annihilator project. It helps you to configure a new
project quickly and easily.
The wizard consists of several steps. To move between steps, use Back, Next
and Finish buttons. Clicking Cancel will disrupt project creation process and no
project will be created.
Step 1 - Welcome
On this screen you are able to choose if you would like to configure your new
project manually or automatically using default settings. Automatic
configuration is recommended and suits to most of users. However, if you wish to
fine-tune project settings, you should employ manual configuration process. With
Ad Annihilator Project Wizard it is very easy.
Choices available:
-
"I want to configure Ad Annihilator project manually" -
choose this if you want to perform manual configuration. If you choose this
option, Ad Annihilator Project Wizard proceeds to other steps;
-
"Use default settings (skip this wizard)" - choose this if
you want to configure the project automatically with default settings. These
settings are detailed below in the further steps description.
Step 2 - Setup predefined filters
On this screen you are able to choose if you would like to import predefined
Ad Annihilator filters. Ad Annihilator comes with a number of predefined filters
that effectively block banners, popups and cookies. These filters block
advertisements and cookies from a lot of advertiser sites. You may import these
filters to this project so as it be able to block ads and cookies right away.
See Understanding banner filters,
Understanding popup filters and
Understanding cookie filters for
information on what filters are. See
What can I do to block advertisements? and
What could I do to protect my privacy? to
learn how filters help to fight advertisements and protect your privacy.
Choices available:
-
"Yes" - predefined filters will be imported into the new
project. Ad Annihilator starts to block banners, popups and cookies right
after you start browsing with new project;
-
"No" - the project is created with empty filters. You'll
have to manually configure filters later using techniques set out in
What can I do to block advertisements? and
What could I do to protect my privacy?
Popups and most cookies will be blocked anyway.
Step 3 - Advanced settings
On this screen you are able to setup advanced project settings. This
currently includes "Block third-party resources" setting. See
